Juan Muñoz

Juan is one of the founding partners of Sistemas Integrales and has devoted his professional career to the design and implementation of household, impact evaluation and agricultural surveys. He was a member of the team that developed and marketed ARIEL, one of the first-ever statistical software packages; it has been exported worldwide since 1972. He is also one of the creators of LSD-2010, a leading data entry development platform for household and business surveys.

Juan’s expertise in sampling is valued by international agencies and private clients alike. He has also advised on questionnaire design, fieldwork organization and data management in over 80 countries, either within the framework of Sistemas Integrales’ own projects or in collaboration with clients, including multilateral and bilateral bodies.

He is a regular lecturer at the World Bank’s internal training program on household surveys, and has taught at universities in Chile, the UK and the USA.

Juan and his wife live in Santiago near their three grown children. He is fluent in Spanish, English, French and Portuguese.
